Statement of faith
What we believe
The Bible
God speaks through His Word. The Bible is inspired by God, true in all it teaches, and the final authority for what we believe and how we live. That is why every show reads Scripture word for word and never rewords it.
God
There is one God, who exists forever as Father, Son and Holy Spirit. He made us, He knows us, and He loves us.
Our need
All of us have sinned and fall short of God's glory (Romans 3:23). Sin separates us from God, and no amount of trying harder can earn our way back to Him.
Jesus
Jesus Christ, the Son of God, lived a life without sin, died on the cross in our place, and rose from the dead, defeating sin and death once and for all.
Salvation
Forgiveness and eternal life are God's free gift, received by faith and never earned (Ephesians 2:8-9). We receive it by admitting our sin, believing that Jesus died and rose again for us, and choosing to follow Him for the rest of our lives.
New life
The Holy Spirit lives in everyone who trusts in Jesus, changing us from the inside and helping us live for Him. Baptism in water is how a believer shows the world the change God has made inside.
God's family
The church is God's family. People of every age belong in it, where they are welcomed, loved, and encouraged to grow in God's Word. Children matter deeply to God, and we gladly bring them to Him.
Our hope
Jesus is coming again. Everyone who trusts in Him will live with God forever (John 3:16).
Why we do this
Here's a fun one: our founder's last name really is Friend. We like to think God was in on the joke from the start. Jesus calls us His friends (John 15:15), and God welcomes each of us into His family (Ephesians 2:19). Friends of God, family in Christ. So yes, Friend Family Ministries is a family name, and it is also an open invitation to yours.
We make free Bible stories and shows so the good news of Jesus can be heard where families really live: at bedtime, on the drive home, around the kitchen table. We want children to fall asleep knowing God loves them, teens to find a faith that holds when life gets loud, and parents and couples to grow closer to God and to each other.
So we keep God's Word exactly as written, tell the truth about how our shows are made, never use fear or pressure, and make sure a real person answers every prayer request and every question about faith. Our hope is always to point families to Jesus and into a local church.
