Mark: Whatever's been keeping you up at night, I'm wondering this for you too. Can sins really be covered, forgiven?

Sarah: I want you to know this. Paul wrote Romans to explain salvation through Jesus, and here he points to David. Listen.

Scripture: “Blessed are they whose iniquities are forgiven, whose sins are covered. Blessed is the man whom the Lord will by no means charge with sin.”

Mark: That sounds beautiful. I always figured I'd have to clean myself up first, before God would even look at me. Maybe you have too.

Sarah: But right before this, Paul says pay is owed to someone who works, and that isn't how grace is counted.

Mark: You might wonder what to actually do. Just believe? Next to the things I've done, that sounds almost too simple.

Sarah: Paul points to Abraham. He believed God, and that was counted to him as righteousness. Paul even says God justifies the ungodly. I was lost too, and I still need that kindness.

Mark: Honestly, I keep looking for the catch, because it's hard to imagine anybody just handing over something this big.

Sarah: I don't have every answer, but I know this: Paul wrote that God counts righteousness to those who believe. I'd love for you to know this forgiveness. I'm here whenever you want to talk.
