Word for word
Mark: I don't think I'm good enough for God.
Sarah: I felt that way too. Paul wrote about it in Romans. Let's read it.
Scripture: for all have sinned, and fall short of the glory of God; being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus;
Mark: Ouch. Is it saying I'm just a bad person?
Sarah: Not at all. Nobody's made right by being good enough, and I stumble every day too.
Mark: So what's the good news in all that?
Sarah: Jesus. It's a gift we receive by trusting him, not by earning it.
Mark: Wait, just trusting him? There's really no catch?
Sarah: No catch. I love you, and I want you with me. Tell God, "I want to know you."
