Questions to talk about
Word for word
Mark: Whenever life falls apart, maybe you assume God's finally done with you, like you've used up all your chances. I love you, and I don't want you facing that alone.
Sarah: Oh, friend, I get that. Paul wrote a long letter to the Romans, and tucked inside it is Romans 8:32. Listen to this.
Scripture: He who didn’t spare his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how would he not also with him freely give us all things?
Mark: Okay, that sounds big. But how does it help when I'm sure I've blown it?
Sarah: Paul is reasoning out loud here. If God gave his own Son for us, Paul asks, how would he not also with him freely give us all things?
Mark: But what about the things I'm ashamed of? At some point, doesn't a person just run out of chances?
Sarah: Paul keeps going. Who could bring a charge against God's chosen ones? It is God who justifies, Paul says. Christ died, was raised, and speaks up for us.
Mark: Okay, it's God who justifies. That's hard to believe, if I'm honest.
Sarah: I fall short all the time, so I lean on the God who justifies. Paul even asks who can separate us from Christ's love. I love you, and I want you with me in this. Talk to God honestly, just say, I want to know you. Follow along for more honest answers.
